Graduation Source Announces Details for Bi-Annual Scholarship Contest
Port Chester, NY (PRWEB) November 16, 2016 -- New York-based Graduation Source invites students to show why they’re perusing their chosen majors in Graduation Source’s bi-annual photo scholarship competition.
The competition, open to current college students and high school students in the process of applying to colleges, offers a $750 prize to the top photo, which should be submitted via Instagram.
“Every student in America deserves to be able to afford access to a proper education,” said Kristoff Albanese of Graduation Source “That belief is what motivated us to create our bi-annual scholarship program, and we’re quite proud of the submissions we’ve received and will receive as a result.”
Applicants will need to ensure that their Instagram profile is set to public and use the hashtag #GraduationSource in order to be considered for the scholarship. In addition, all applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and need to submit a brief caption (no more than 100 words) with the photo describing why the student chose their named major course of study.
In addition to the photo submissions, applicants will need to fill out a brief online form in order to help Graduation Source learn more about the applicant as a student.
Applicants will be considered as follows:
• 30% GPA
• 30% Originality and creativity of submitted photo
• 20% Emotional impact
• 20% Relevance to topic
Deadline for submission in this cycle will be January 31, 2017. Winners will be contacted on or around February 28, 2017. For more information and official rules, please click here.
