Graebel Relocation Sponsors The Big Idea Project Charitable Event
(PRWEB) April 20, 2015 -- Recently, Graebel Relocation sponsored Experience Big Idea Project, a fundraiser that supports young leaders’ contributions that have helped the Denver metropolitan area communities, and the nation. The charitable event was held at the Space Art Gallery in Denver, Colorado on April 9. This event incorporated live music and interactive experiences that were led by students of The Big Idea Project.
This sponsorship trailed a companywide voluntary paid time off (VPTO) initiative that was launched at the beginning of 2015 aimed at encouraging the Graebel Relocation employees on six continents to become active in their communities with philanthropic work to sustain the environment and to cultivate youth. The VPTO benefit is a component of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that Graebel molded after the United Nations’ model, and adopted in 2009. To read more about the VPTO program, a press release can be found on the Graebel Relocation website located here: http://www.graebel.com/graebel-launches-employee-voluntary-paid-time-off-program-on-six-continents/.
Proceeds raised at the event will directly support the Big Idea Project. According to the Big Idea Project website, “In teams of 3 to 4, students identify a need in society they would like to do something about, work together with a business mentor to design their action plan and then make their Big Idea come to life. At the end of the semester, teams create a storytelling video and present their impact to the community for the chance to win a college scholarship and a spot at the state competition.”
For decades, the Graebel organization has actively supported philanthropic endeavors, sponsored charitable events, and has encouraged volunteerism. To view a short video that shares a sampling of the 2014 Graebel Relocation CSR activities visit this link: http://youtu.be/nCPPLR9ZPQ0.
