Grand Hyatt Denver, a Downtown Denver Hotel, Completes $28 Million Hotel Renovation
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The staff of the AAA 4-Diamond award winning Grand Hyatt Denver, a Denver, Colorado hotel, announces the full completion of its $28 million renovation with the unveiling of a new lobby and lobby lounge, Fireside | the bar, as well as the iconic Pinnacle Club, a 38th floor Denver event facility with views that encompass the entire Rocky Mountain front range.
The bold and dynamic lobby, with a focal point of a wall of narrow, lineal fireplaces stacked on top of one another and set in chiseled stone, rises to a 29 foot ceiling. The intriguing decor showcases Fireside | the bar where a wine rack holds 315 vintages in a tempered environment. A wealth of warm touches includes wood panels overhead, relaxed comfortable seating and communal tables that are proving more and more popular for informal gatherings. Mixologists face their guests providing a personal touch in preparing just the right cocktail to match the mood. All of the premium well spirits have their origin in Colorado, complementing organic and regionally sourced garnishes and juices. The menu, a selection of small-plate appetizers, is equally diverse and includes: Lettuce Wraps, Pork Belly Tacos, Sesame Scallops, cheese boards, flat breads, bruschetta and more.
The renowned and historic 38th floor Pinnacle Club has also seen a complete renovation and is now available for private parties, banquets and events. Known for its sweeping views, Pinnacle Club is one of the few Denver meeting and event facilities in the United States to be windowed on all four sides displaying over 10,000 miles of cityscape and Colorado Rocky Mountains. The new interior is just as notable, containing two large ballrooms, both of which have their own pre-function space. Guests find cherrywood and crystal adding to the opulence of vibrantly colored sunsets. Grand Hyatt Denver offers an array of specialty catering services such as Personal Preference menus that allow banquet guests a selection of entrees and a fully dedicated kosher kitchen.
Grand Hyatt Denver’s renovation, which launched late fall, 2012, also included redesign of:
516 guest rooms and suites
Completed: May 2013
Grand Hyatt Conference Center, overlooking downtown Denver’s business and financial district, providing meeting and event planners a new Denver meeting facility
Completed: May 2013
Skycourt, one of downtown Denver’s only outdoor rooftop jogging tracks and tennis courts with work-out stations and shuffleboard
Completed: October 2012
Pub 17 on Welton Street, located on the lobby level, was introduced in July, 2012, garnering a Sunset Magazine’s Editor’s Pick in January, 2013.
Grand Hyatt Denver general manager Greg Leonard said, “What makes this renovation such a stand-out is the blend of contemporary with indigenous décor. It creates interest as visitors marvel at the backdrop of solid onyx in the reception area and large burl tables, where guests check-in or the signature, original oil painting of a Colorado buffalo adorning the lobby wall. It is all designed to bring the outside in; a reminder of the scenic and exuberant place that is the Mile High City.”
