Grand Opening of Embody Physiotherapy & Wellness, LLC Specializing in Women’s Health, Orthopedic Issues and Cancer-Related Treatments

Meehan, co-founders and owners of Embody Physiotherapy and Wellness, LLC, are pleased to announce the grand opening of their new physical therapy clinic located at 400 Broad Street, Suite 1006, Sewickley, PA 15143. They bring over 60 years of combined experience in delivering physical therapy services.
The therapists have specialist certifications in women’s health, orthopedic, and manual therapy, enabling them to treat individuals with pelvic health issues, persistent pain, pre- and post-natal problems, cancer-related situations, and orthopedic issues related to the performing arts. This patient-centered practice partners with the individual person, not the insurance company, to achieve mutually agreed upon goals toward better health and movement. Utilizing their extensive experience in health care, they bring a rare combination of hands-on treatment, as well as both patient and professional education on cutting edge health-related programs.
Susan C. Clinton PT, DScPT, OCS, WCS, FAAOMPT is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist and Fellow in Orthopedics, Women’s Health, and Manual Therapy. She provides evaluation, education, and treatment to individuals for pelvic health, pregnancy, post cancer, persistent pain, sports injuries, performing arts injuries, and post-surgical diagnoses. Susan is active in teaching and research as an adjunct instructor for the University of Pittsburgh and Chatham University. Additionally, she is an international instructor and presenter of post-professional education in women’s health and orthopedic manual therapy.
Rebecca M. Meehan PT WCS is a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health, with an interest in bone health, pregnancy, pelvic health, persistent pain, post cancer and other orthopedic conditions. She is an active participant with the Birthworkers of Western PA, and is pursuing certifications with the Franklin Method© and Yoga. Rebecca is active in community education and local post-professional education and mentoring.
When asked how their clinic differs from other PT clinics, Meehan replied, “No physical therapy assistants or technicians at our clinic; only one-on-one hands-on treatment directly with a physical therapist during your visit. We become part of a patient’s overall health team working with the patient, their physician, chiropractor, pilates or yoga instructor and/or personal trainer to achieve the overall goal of optimal health for the patient.”
With direct access to care for the initial 30 days, patients do not need a physician referral to be assessed and begin treatment at Embody Physiotherapy and Wellness, LLC. Objective findings and goals will be communicated to your physician, and a referral will be requested within the first 30 days of treatment. Our therapists have direct access licenses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
