Grant Cuesta Sub-Acute and Pathways Home Health & Hospice Use VGo Robot to Monitor Patients
Sunnyvale, California (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Grant Cuesta Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Center and Pathways Home Health & Hospice recently installed the VGo robotic two-way communication technology to expand the reach of care for hospice patients. Grant Cuesta Sub-Acute and Pathways Hospice work closely to care for shared patients living at Grant Cuesta. If a patient’s health status changes, often a consultation with a hospice doctor is needed. The VGo robotic two-way telepresence, driven remotely by a Pathways Hospice doctor via computer, enables the facility’s staff to have an instant, real-time consultation.
El Camino Hospital was instrumental in assisting Pathways Home Health & Hospice and Grant Cuesta Sub-Acute and Rehabilitation Center with the acquisition and initial operation of the VGo robot. The VGo robotic technology has been in use at El Camino Hospital for over a year. Pathways Home Health & Hospice is an affiliate of El Camino Hospital and Grant Cuesta is a member of the Covenant Care Nursing Facilities family.
