Graphic Connections Group L.L.C. Announces Acquisition of Mira Digital Publishing
Chesterfield, MO (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- GCG Actually acquired Mira Digital Publishing on May 1, 2013. The big attraction was Mira’s unique alternative for self-publishing authors who are often stymied when using one of the many online book printing services. President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Charlton said, “We have found that there are a large percentage of people who have written manuscripts and just want someone to walk them though the process of turning that manuscript into a beautiful, professional looking book. We pride ourselves on being one phone call away for these clients.”
Charlton, along with George Lestina, Mira’s Publishing Director, have both been in the industry for decades and believe that despite the “Internet Age”, people still appreciate being able to talk to a live person who can work with them every step of the way. “We’ve been helping authors self-publish for over 35 years, and there is nothing more satisfying than taking an authors’ manuscript (their pride and joy), and helping them turn it into a book they will cherish for the rest of the their lives,” Lestina said. “Of course we have clients who give us books that are fully formatted and ready to print, but they are the exception."
Even a book the author thinks is ‘press ready’, often has formatting issues that prevent it from looking like the professionally published books found in most retail outlets. Rather than just print the book with those issues, as many on-line book publishers do, we take the time to help authors make the necessary changes, and that makes a huge difference in the finished product,” Lestina added.
Mira Digital Publishing is a subsidiary of Graphic Connections Group, LLC, and has been serving clients nationwide since 1992. Mira specializes in printing all types of books for self publishers. Jeff or George can be contacted at (636) 519-8320.
