Green Cloud Technologies Grows Its Plant-a-Tree Initiative

Green Cloud Technologies—Business Black Box’s 2015 Green Award winner and one of SC’s Top 25 Fastest-Growing Companies—is dedicated to environmental sustainability by reducing the company’s carbon footprint. In partnership with Carbonfund.org, Green Cloud plants a tree for each of their customers during each quarter of the business year. Launched on Earth Day in 2014, Green Cloud’s Plant-a-Tree Initiative planted 1,490 trees in its first year. For 2015, Green Cloud planted 1,896 trees, a nearly 28% increase.
Carbonfund.org's CarbonFree Partner program helps companies offset their environmental impact by encouraging companies to calculate their carbon footprint, and then participate in Carbonfund.org's third-party certified projects for forest preservation and improving local environments.
