Greenberg Traurig Adds Grant E. Nichols to Environmental Practice in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) November 12, 2015 -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP welcomes Grant E. Nichols, who joins as of counsel in the Environmental Practice in the firm’s Philadelphia office.
“I am thrilled to welcome Grant to Greenberg Traurig and our Environmental Practice,” said Curtis B. Toll, Environmental Practice shareholder and operating shareholder of the firm’s Philadelphia office. “Grant’s multidisciplinary experience will further strengthen our Environmental Practice as it continues to grow and be a leader in the industry.”
Nichols focuses his practice on environmental law, with an emphasis on managing environmental liabilities associated with larger real estate and corporate transactions. His clients include real estate developers, environmental consultants, private equity investors, and manufacturing companies. Nichols also has significant experience guiding clients through complex risk management issues, including in the healthcare, cyber, and privacy contexts. He regularly drafts and negotiates stock and asset purchase agreements, analyzes risk management programs of target companies, and negotiates insurance coverage to tailor risks associated with acquisitions.
“I am very excited to begin this new chapter at Greenberg Traurig,” said Nichols. “When I was presented with the opportunity to help build Greenberg Traurig’s transactional environmental practice, which is already one of the best in the business, I could not pass it up. The breadth and depth of the firm’s resources and its international network of 1,900 attorneys will also allow me to continue to successfully serve my clients and push my practice to reach new heights.”
Nichols previously worked in the Insurance Practice of a national, Philadelphia-based law firm before handling complex environmental insurance issues at an international specialty lines insurance company. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
