Greenberg Traurig Chinh H. Pham and Nataliya Rymer Presented at Northwestern University
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 15, 2015 -- Co-leader of the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice Chinh H. Pham and Of Counsel Nataliya Rymer recently presented at The Garage at Northwestern University. Rymer presented a workshop on immigration law specifically aimed at entrepreneurs and start-ups and Pham introduced the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice.
Rymer’s workshop discussed immigration law matters for international student entrepreneurs and reviewed short and long-term immigration options. In addition, Rymer discussed immigration related options for and potential roadblocks in connection with starting a business as an international student and the process of hiring international workers or vendors.
Rymer, of counsel in the firm’s Philadelphia office, focuses her practice on immigration and compliance issues. She represents clients in a wide range of employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant matters, including international students, researchers, medical professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty traders and investors, immigrant investors, and persons of extraordinary ability. Rymer frequently works with the higher education community and is experienced with the needs of the universities and affiliated organizations, as well as foreign students.
Pham is co-leader of Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Practice, chair of the firm’s Nanotechnology Practice, and co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in Boston. Pham currently serves as an Attorney-in-Residence at Harvard Innovation Lab, as a member of the Board of Overseers at the Boston Museum of Science, and as a company mentor for a number of technology accelerator programs, including MassDiGI, MassChallenge, and Northeastern Idea. He is actively involved with NAPABA and other affinity law groups, and he is regularly invited to speak at and participate in CLE programs and conferences. He served as an executive officer and board member of the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts from 2001 to 2005.
