Greenberg Traurig Houston Office Adds Corporate Attorney with Extensive Middle East Experience
HOUSTON (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- Romi Nayef joins the Houston office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP as Of Counsel in its Corporate and Securities Practice and its Global Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Nayef served as chief operating officer of a boutique consulting firm in Qatar. He was formerly a partner at Dentons, LLP in its Doha, Qatar office.

Nayef focuses his practice broadly on the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries (Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman), with an emphasis on corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, subsidiary management, structuring corporate entities, governance and regulatory issues, and FCPA compliance. He is highly experienced in regulatory issues relating to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA), Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA), Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA), Qatar Central Bank (QCB), Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), and various other regulatory entities throughout the GCC, as well as preparing and negotiating supplier agreements, advising on employment issues, and advising on construction tenders. Nayef earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, and a B.S. from the University of Houston.
