Greenberg Traurig Miami Organizes Fourth-Annual ‘GT Cares’ Community Service Initiative
MIAMI, Fla. (PRWEB) April 27, 2016 -- Attorneys and business staff with the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig rolled up their sleeves to support various South Florida charities during the fourth-annual “GT Cares” community service initiative. During two consecutive weekends between April 9 and April 17, Greenberg Traurig volunteers donated manpower, monetary contributions and supplies to benefit local philanthropic causes including: South Florida Wildlife Center, Chapman Partnership, Lotus House, Habitat for Humanity and Children’s Home Society of Florida.
Each Greenberg Traurig volunteer team was led by a “GT Hero” – an attorney or business staff member who serves as a board member for the respective nonprofit sponsor organization. In addition to the projects and causes listed below, the Miami office collected new baby supplies as well as gently used clothing and strollers for the Lotus House.
“Greenberg Traurig maintains a long-standing commitment to giving back to the community,” said Jaret Davis, Miami Co-Managing Shareholder. “I am proud of our attorneys and staff members for so graciously donating their time and resources to such worthy organizations, and helping to make our community a better place.”
• Saturday, April 9: Ten volunteers, led by GT Hero Donna Florio, an Administrative Assistant in the Miami office, participated in a craft project to improve the habitat for raccoons, squirrels and birds at the South Florida Wildlife Center.
