Greenberg Traurig, Patricia Menéndez-Cambó and Lori Cohen Shortlisted for Four Chambers USA Women in Law Awards
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has been named a finalist for Most Innovative Gender Diversity Program and Best Mentoring Program as part of the 2014 Chambers USA Women in Law Awards. Additionally, firm shareholders Patricia Menéndez-Cambó and Lori Cohen have been named finalists for individual awards in the categories of Outstanding Contribution to Gender Diversity and Outstanding Contribution to Mentoring, respectively.
According to Chambers and Partners, the program awards recognize law firms that have created a positive environment for women to work in and honors initiatives that assist in the retention, work/life balance and promotion of female lawyers. The individual awards recognize private practice and in-house counsel who have made outstanding contributions to furthering the advancement of women in law. Criteria for nomination include the success of a lawyer’s individual practice, in addition to their work and commitment to gender equality, mentoring, and public service.
Menéndez-Cambó, a vice president of Greenberg Traurig, is chair of the Global Practice and co-chair of the Global Energy & Infrastructure Practice. Cohen is chair of the Trial Practice, chair of the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and the co-chair of the Atlanta Litigation Practice at Greenberg Traurig.
The Chambers USA Women in Law Awards will be announced at a ceremony and reception on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 in New York City.
