Greenberg Traurig’s Dan Walsh to Speak at iGaming Legislative Symposium
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- Senior Director Dan Walsh with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is speaking at the iGaming Legislative Symposium taking place Feb. 26, 2015, in Sacramento. Loretta A. Tuell, a member of the firm’s Global Gaming Practice, is also attending.
Walsh, a senior director of Government Law & Policy in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, is speaking on the panel, “The Future of iGaming in California.” Panelists will address the realistic prospects for legalizing Internet poker in California and how it will happen (or not). They also will examine how legalized Internet poker might change the current landscape for tribal gaming operators and how they should prepare for these changes.
According to the conference website, the iGaming Legislative Symposium is a daylong program that will focus on aspects of the possible legalization of online gaming in California and bring together government and industry professionals to discuss the issues the state faces in the possibility of legalizing online gambling.
The symposium’s keynote speaker will be Mike Gatto, California District 34 assembly member and author of AB 9, one of the online poker bills introduced for the 2015 California legislative session. Greenberg Traurig is a platinum sponsor of the event.
