Greenberg Traurig’s Kevin Ray Appointed to American Bar Association’s Section of International Law
CHICAGO (PRWEB) July 23, 2015 -- Kevin P. Ray, of counsel in the Chicago office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been appointed to two prestigious leadership positions within the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Section of International Law. For the second year in a row, Ray was appointed as co-chair of the Art and Cultural Heritage Law Committee. Ray was also appointed as division chair of the Finance Division.
The ABA’s Section of International Law was founded in 1933 to promote interest, activity, and research in international and comparative law. The section’s membership now spans over 90 countries and includes more than 23,000 members. Their mission is to bridge the U.S. and non-U.S. legal communities, help members serve the needs of their international clients, promote substantive international expertise, and strengthen the just implementation of the rule of law.
Ray, a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Practice, represents artists, art galleries, art collectors, museums, and cultural institutions in a variety of transactions, including consignments, questions of title, provenance, and compliance with national and international law. He advises lenders and debtors on issues unique to art, antiquities, and other cultural property in a variety of lending and commercial transactions.
