DENVER (PRWEB) April 09, 2015 -- The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) recently announced their selection for its 2015-16 Marshall Memorial Fellow (MMF) Program. Meshach Y. Rhoades, a litigation attorney with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, was selected to be a part of this transatlantic leadership community of more than 3,000 distinguished members. Fellows were selected from 700 nominations across 39 countries in a highly competitive process. In total, 34 fellows were selected from the United States and 42 from Europe, representing 21 European countries and 17 U.S. states.
“Meshach is a rising star at Greenberg Traurig and has purposefully and creatively developed networks of business and community leaders throughout the county,” said David G. Palmer, managing shareholder of the firm’s Denver office. “She will benefit greatly from such a prestigious program and will cultivate many more lifelong connections and relationships.”
Rhoades focuses her practice on regulatory, commercial, and telecommunications litigation, including dispute resolution, antitrust, business torts, contract, intellectual property, labor and employment, non-compete agreements, public finance, trade secrets, and other civil litigation matters. Rhoades also represents businesses in regulatory enforcement actions to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations enforced by the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and other regulatory agencies.
Rhoades is the third fellow from the Denver office, following two shareholders who previously participated in the program–Troy A. Eid and Christopher J. Neumann. All three attorneys are known for their leadership, both within the firm, in the Denver community, and nationwide.
About the German Marshall Fellowship Program
The Marshall Memorial Fellowship is GMF’s flagship leadership development program. Created in 1982 to introduce a new generation of European leaders to the United States, MMF grew in 1999 with a companion program that began sending emerging leaders from the United States to Europe.
GMF awards 75 Marshall Memorial Fellowships each year to the best and brightest from all sectors, including business, government, and civil society. Selected fellows engage in six months of preparation designed to enhance their understanding of transatlantic relations before embarking on 24 days of policy immersion across the Atlantic.
