Greenberg Traurig’s Seth J. Entin Speaks at Eighth-Annual U.S.-Latin America Tax Planning Strategies Conference
MIAMI, Fla. (PRWEB) June 18, 2015 -- Seth J. Entin, a Shareholder in the Tax Practice Group at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, participated as a speaker at the eighth-annual U.S.-Latin America Tax Planning Strategies Conference June 11-12 at the Mandarin-Oriental Hotel in Miami.
The U.S.-Latin America Tax Planning Strategies Conference, co-sponsored by the International Fiscal Association, the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Tax Executives Institute, addressed key tax issues for a wide range of tax and finance personnel doing business in the U.S. and Latin America. Case studies underscored the effect of treaties, court decisions and domestic laws to provide insight into local planning opportunities. Panels featured industry speakers, leading practitioners, and government representatives offering the latest perspectives from the U.S. and Latin America on such topics as cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financing, intellectual property planning, and treaties.
Specifically, Entin was a panelist on the plenary session’s “Tax Executives Perspectives” panel, where speakers dAh,iscussed key updates in tax accounting standards, tax advice standards, and other key issues of concern to tax executives of multinational companies. Entin has previously spoken at international tax conferences sponsored by these organizations in London, Paris, Vienna, Copenhagen, Bonn, and various locations in the United States.
At Greenberg Traurig, Entin concentrates his practice in the area of federal income taxation, with an emphasis on international taxation. Entin is an Adjunct Professor of International Taxation at the University of Miami School of Law and routinely speaks at national and international tax conferences. He also is the Director of International Tax for the Florida Bar Tax Section.
