Greenberg Traurig’s Susan L. Heller Moderates Panel At Managing Intellectual Property’s Women’s Leadership Forum
Silicon Valley, Calif. (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Susan L. Heller moderated a panel last week at the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) International Women’s Leadership Forum, which took place Dec. 11 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. Heller serves as chair of the firm’s Global Trademark and Brand Management Group as well as co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Global Women’s Initiative.
According to MIP’s website, the forum is a popular gathering for women in-house and IP counsel who wish to engage with one another on the latest intellectual property (IP) topics, develop their personal brand, and further their legal career. The MIP Women in IP Global Network has over 700 members globally, comprised of IP in-house counsel, general counsel, private practice lawyers, heads of IP, and patent counsel.
Heller moderated the panel titled, “The Importance of Leadership in Developing Your Career,” wherein she and the other panelists discussed topics such as building a diverse business network, identifying attributes of leadership, and what they would tell their younger self if they could go back to the start of their career.
Heller is based in the firm’s Los Angeles and Orange County offices. She represents highly visible Fortune 500 companies, world champion athletes, high-net-worth individuals, and A-list entertainment personalities, who turn to her when the stakes are high and their critical brands are at risk. She helps her clients monetize and optimize their key brands and corporate images through strategic positioning, management, and enforcement of their worldwide trademark, copyright, and domain name portfolios, and extensive collateral product licensing. Heller partners closely with her clients, working with their legal, marketing, and business teams to ensure that marketing strategies and business sensitivities are integrated into her legal analysis and advice.
