Greenberg Traurig’s Susan Neuberg to Moderate Discussion at CRE Financial Council Annual Conference
(PRWEB) June 05, 2017 -- Greenberg Traurig Real Estate Shareholder Susan E. D. Neuberg will moderate a panel discussion during the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC) 2017 Annual Conference June 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.
CREFC is the trade association for lenders, investors, and servicers engaged in the $3.8 trillion commercial real estate finance industry. CREFC promotes capital formation, encouraging commercial real estate finance market efficiency, transparency, and liquidity. The conference brings together leading stakeholders from across the CRE finance industry and features panel discussions and breakout sessions focused on current industry topics.
Neuberg will moderate the panel, “Construction Lending: If You Build It, Will They Come?” The panelists are Brock Cannon, Managing Director, HFF; Matthew Drummond, Principal/Investments, Square Mile Capital; Scott Towbin, Executive Director, JP Morgan Commercial Bank; and Thomas Wise, Managing Director, Asset Management, Trimont Real Estate Advisors. The discussion topics will include:

- Which markets are seeing the most development?
- Developers are turning to small and regional banks to fill up their capital stack. Why are major banks sitting on the sidelines?

- The impact of regulatory and tax changes on development and construction lending.
Neuberg focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting debt and equity investments for major financial institutions, REITS, investment advisors, institutional, and private investors. She counsels clients in the financial services and real estate industries on complex real estate matters, debt structures and equity joint ventures, as well as securitizations, master and special servicing, workouts, rating agencies criteria, CMBS and Freddie Mac portfolio servicing practices, and single sponsor programs. Neuberg has worked on numerous complex debt, equity, and joint venture transactions and has wide ranging business and legal experience in a broad array of real estate, real estate finance, and capital markets transactions, including the development and construction of mixed use and hotel projects, securitized, conventional and construction lending, syndicated and mezzanine lending, workouts, restructures, servicing of nonperforming loans, note sales, and transfers of servicing rights.
She is a frequent author and speaker addressing current issues of importance to the commercial real estate finance industry and has been an active CREFC member since CREFC’s inception.
