WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) April 16, 2015 -- Greenberg Traurig, LLP will sponsor and shareholder David P. Callet will speak at American Apparel and Footwear Association’s (AAFA) Product Safety Seminar East - What's in Your Closet? event taking place on May 28, 2015 in New York, NY.
Callet will speak on a 3:30 p.m. panel entitled “Responding To Regulatory Demands: What To Do/ What Not To Do.” The session will address how in an ever-changing regulatory landscape, brands and retailers must be prepared to meet compliance requirements and will offer best practices in responding to regulatory demands.
Callet provides broad client representation on all aspects of consumer product safety compliance, including guiding clients on how to create and implement product safety compliance programs that reduce product recalls, limit products liability litigation, and help protect their valuable brands from adverse publicity associated with non-compliance with product safety requirements. He regularly represents clients in matters involving the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and counsels clients on product safety labeling and warnings. Callet frequently speaks and writes on all aspects of product safety, including compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and California’s Prop 65. He is currently serving as Vice Chair of the ABA Consumer Products Regulatory Committee.
