Greenville Health System to Implement PDS PRISM Performance Management Technologies and Data Models for Revenue Cycle and Patient Access
Southbury, CT (PRWEB) March 10, 2015 -- Practical Data Solutions, Inc. (PDS) has licensed PRISM Analytics and its suite of Performance Management Technologies to Greenville Health System (GHS). PDS will be collaborating with GHS to build an infrastructure that will enable seamless analytical and reporting capabilities for revenue cycle and patient access as GHS transitions to the Epic system in mid-year 2015.
Currently, GHS is utilizing multiple practice management systems due to the acquisition of physician groups made over the past few years. As GHS begins migrating physician practices to Epic, the PDS DASH data blending technology will be used to allow GHS to report across systems during the transition and eventually join with the PDS data models for Epic.
“GHS is a large organization with complex needs, and we believe PDS is best suited to meet those needs,” said Mike Duffey, director of practice financial analysis at GHS. “We look forward to working with PDS to streamline our analytical and reporting capabilities during this time of transition.”
PDS will immediately begin implementing its best practice data models for revenue cycle management and patient access. PDS’ Rapid Deployment Methodology will enable GHS to be live on the PDS analytical and reporting technologies prior to going live on Epic. PDS technologies will be used to report across the existing GE, McKesson, Nextgen and other billing systems during the transition period of bringing practices live on Epic and winding down revenue cycle in these legacy billing systems – a period that can often exceed a year or more.
“GHS leadership had tremendous vision in recognizing the challenges in front of them when migrating systems,” said Russell Hendrickson, CEO of PDS. “They came to PDS and articulated their business needs as we discussed various options and strategies to achieve success. Collectively, both parties agreed on a focused approach. I am extremely confident that we will execute on the plan and achieve exceptional results,” said Hendrickson.
