Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts Bring Short Course Battle Home to SoCal
Compton, California (PRWEB) July 22, 2016 -- Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts are returning home to Southern California as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is set to thunder through legendary Glen Helen Raceway this weekend, July 23-24. After traveling to Tooele, Utah and Ensenada, Mexico for the most recent events, San Bernardino, California becomes the epicenter of off-road racing while Adler looks to capitalize on his past success at the narrow, technical course to catapult him back to the form that earned him a pair of trips to the podium earlier this season. And while the team has tackled the challenges that come with fine tuning his new 900HP Pro 4 truck, Adler has shown throughout the season that he has the equipment and the speed to run with the elite drivers in the series’ marquee division.
“We had some success early in the season and picked up a couple of trophies from Lake Elsinore and Chandler,” said Adler. “There’s always going to be a learning curve the first year with a new truck, but we’re qualifying strong and racing hard with the frontrunners. We know Glen Helen and have won here in the past so we’re going to work to put everything together and get the #10 back to the podium in front of our home crowd.”
Having hosted AMA Motocross championships for many years along with Grand Prix events and Ultra4 competitions as well as the Lucas Off Road Series, Glen Helen Raceway has cemented its legendary status as an icon of motorsports. This weekend’s races, held under the lights on the purpose-built short course track, are expected to attract a capacity crowd from throughout the region. Many of those spectators will include employees from 4 Wheel Parts, the company Adler heads as CEO, which maintains a number of local retail stores in addition to its nearby corporate headquarters.
“Glen Helen is a fantastic facility with a rich history and although they have built a reputation for epic motocross events over the years, this race has become a key event on the short course calendar,” said Adler. “Racing at night, with the lights and shadows, brings its own set of challenges, but it’s a spectacular show for the fans. We’re headed there driven to bring home a trophy for 4 Wheel Parts.”
Saturday night, Adler will be among 14 series competitors who have volunteered to race in honor of the victims, survivors and families of the recent shootings in San Bernardino. As part of a special weekend dedication, the last names of each of the deceased will be worn on Adler’s helmet as well as displaying a decal with the hashtag #SBStrong on his truck.
“I am humbled to have the opportunity to participate in this tribute to those lost along with the survivors of the tragedy in San Bernardino as the series comes together to recognize and honor this community and these heroes,” said Adler.
Racing under the lights at Glen Helen kicks off with opening ceremonies at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Gates will open to the public at 2 p.m. and with an open paddock, spectators are encouraged to stop by and visit with Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts.
