Greg Adler Slated to Race at LOORRS Glen Helen
Compton, California (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Greg Adler, President & CEO of off-road industry leading aftermarket parts retailer, 4 Wheel Parts, will race in the LOORRS event held August 1-2. Glen Helen, California is the site of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series featuring Pro 2 and Pro 4 Unlimited trucks racing on short courses. Last year, Adler raced to a win in the Pro 4 Main amidst a field of 11 trucks.
The current LOORRS Pro 4 Standings find Adler in fifth place with 326 points, 71 off of leader Kyle LeDuc’s pace. “I’m looking forward to racing at my home track,” says Adler. “My team got our first Pro 4 win there in 2013 and even though we’ve had some struggles lately, we’re racing for podiums and wins.”
Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires and La Paz wheels are key components to Adler’s #10 Pro Comp/4 Wheel Parts Ford he plans to race. “Having tough tires that hook is one of the keys to winning races,” he says. These bright blue Pro Comp tires feature the Xtreme MT2 name and are specially-designed for high performance on short courses. The wheels he runs are manufactured for race-spec and La Paz also offers consumer wheels based on them.
In the 2014 LOORRS Pro 2 standings Adler is currently at #12 and has podiumed once with a third place finish at in the Round 1 race at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. Earlier this month, he raced his buggy in the Ultra4 Unlimited at the 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix in San Bernardino.
Practice and qualifying rounds get underway this Friday with the main gates opening to the public at noon. Opening ceremonies are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and the Pro 4 race follows Saturday’s opening, with the Pro 2 race concluding the event. The price of tickets is $25 per day/$50 for the weekend, with children 12 and under admitted free of charge.
