Gripping New Book Tells True Story of 500-Pound Man’s Fight to Lose 300-Pounds and His Struggle with Fad Diets, Weight Loss Plans and Obesity

The Story of a 500 Pound Man, His Disease, and the Doctor Who Helped Him" (HealthStruck Books, February 2016), Nick Mirrione candidly shares his true story of reaching 500 pounds at 40 years old and realizing he needed to seek drastic measures or die. He then met Obesity Disease expert and leading Bariatric Surgeon, R. Armor Forse, MD, PhD, who conducted his gastric bypass procedure. They co-authored this book chronicling their journey together, as well as Nick's life-long struggles with his weight, trying many weight loss plans and dangerous diets, and his emotional struggle with obesity disease.
