GRM Expands into South America with Lima, Peru Acquisition
Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- GRM, a full cycle records and information management leader with locations across the United States and internationally in China, has just acquired Control Document of Peru. Located in the city of Lima, the country’s capital and largest city, the assets and employees of Control Document will now be fully integrated into the GRM company and brand.
“We are extremely pleased to complete this acquisition,” said GRM Executive Vice President, Jerry Glatt. “I wish to thank the staff at Control Document for doing a great job building this business and enabling GRM to continue expanding, now into South America and specifically, Peru. As a customer-focused company, we plan to invest in this opportunity, grow it to the next level and provide even more value for the existing and future Control Document client base.”
Founded in 1999, Control Document has built a substantial business providing offsite document storage, scanning, records destruction and other information management services. As part of this deal, GRM will utilize Control Document’s Lima warehouse, which is centrally located and on a main avenue that allows customers to be served quickly and efficiently.
“I am thrilled to be helming Control Document’s transition to GRM,” said Quilvio Munoz, the new GRM, Peru General Manager. ”With this foothold in South America and the robust capital of Lima, we will be able to bring additional services to both current and new customers and establish GRM information management throughout the region.”
Added Mr. Glatt, “We believe that Control Document has marquee customers that will benefit significantly from GRM value-added services such as our Online Record Center digital repository, our PRECISIONplus tracking and our ability to seamlessly integrate multiple services into a custom Blended Solution.”
GRM’s move into Lima augments its continued growth in both the United States and throughout China. This acquisition follows close on the heels of GRM’s U.S. acquisition of Office 360 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“We recognize,” continued Mr. Glatt, “that we live and work in a global economy, which is why GRM is increasingly becoming an international company. We have a substantial presence in the United States with facilities now in 13 major markets there. And we have a rapidly expanding influence in Asia, particularly China where our presence in 10 major markets has made us that country’s largest records management company. Our strategy, which expanding into Peru supports, is to continue increasing our global footprint while delivering greater customer value, expertise and advanced services to clients.”
