Group Mobile Adds New Models of Trimble's Yuma 2 Tablet to Product Line

The Yuma 2 tablet, which already provides the best sunlight readable display on the market, is now available with a 1-2 meter real-time Enhanced GPS positional accuracy using SBAS satellites.
New 1-2 Meter Enhanced Accuracy
Enhanced GPS uses SBAS and a GPS Accuracy Algorithm to provide dramatic improvements. Under the correct conditions, Enhanced GPS allows data collection with 1-2 meter accuracy in real time, while gathering raw data output for post-processing applications. The Enhanced GPS is integrated into the tablet form factor, adding no weight or need to attach an external GPS receiver to collect GPS data.
The Yuma 2 Enhanced GPS models (GL and GLX), using the GPS L1 band, offer dependable performance in reduced signal environments. The Yuma 2 with Enhanced GPS tests at an average cold start of less than 33 seconds, and a warm start of less than 3 seconds. The Yuma 2 GL is designed to work with Trimble VRS, a solution provided by Trimble Positioning Services. The GLX version also adds the 3.75 GSM data connectivity option into the tablet.
The standard 2-4 meter GPS configurations and the new 1-2 meter Enhanced GPS models of the Yuma 2 both support connecting an external GPS antenna that can be utilized when workers are inside a vehicle.

The Yuma 2 is built rugged from the inside out, with IP65 protection from dust and water, and with military-grade MIL-STD-810G certification for temperature, altitude, humidity extremes, vibration and shock.
