Groupmatics Recognized on National Stage for Innovation
Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) August 03, 2016 -- At the fifth annual Tickets.com Provenue Exchange conference, nominee Groupmatics was declared the recipient of the 2016 Innovator of the Year award. After a year of rolling out new features for their online ticketing platform, Groupmatics' return to the Provenue Exchange was a celebration of these new developments, receiving recognition alongside two other distinguished nominees, the Boston Red Sox and the Kansas City Royals. The conference, held in Scottsdale, Arizona this year, seeks to promote genuine peer-to-peer exchange in connecting various partners and recognize emerging technologies with the ticketing industry. As part of celebrating these rising successes and partnerships, Tickets.com presents an Innovator of the Year award as hosts of the PVEX conference.
On what this award means for Groupmatics, CEO and Founder Matt Mastrangelo said, "the biggest takeaway is validation for the hard work we’ve put into building a valuable product. After they called our name I was both shocked and honored. It’s a great feeling to be acknowledged by your peers.” Groupmatics is an online group ticket sales platform specializing in finding new revenue streams through bringing modern technologies to the traditional group sales approach.
The partnership between Tickets.com and Groupmatics began in 2014 and has since grown into a robust integration with the Provenue platform. Joe Choti, CEO and President of Tickets.com, who presented this award on behalf of the conference host, described the Groupmatics platform as “a comprehensive, state-of-the-art group ticketing platform fully integrated with the ProVenue platform.” Choti, who has over two decades experience in the industry, gave context for the success of this partnership as part of the company’s growing vision and development within its partner integrations. “This integration,” said Choti, “demonstrates the proven open architecture of [the] ProVenue platform and is yet another example of Tickets.com's vision of providing unprecedented value and experiences through partner integrations.”
Mastrangelo credited the company’s success not only to this valuable partnership but also to his growing team, whose members have extensive group sales backgrounds within professional sports organizations. "We’ve experienced the frustration felt by group leaders and group sales departments," said Mastrangelo. "Our software was built based on those real-life experiences. Our clients and partners are turning to us as a means to resolve new pain points in their group sales process.” As the ticketing industry moves increasingly online, expanding growth opportunities in group sales can be only a few clicks away. Choti echoed this sentiment, detailing how “enormously successful” the integration feature has been for “clients seeking to effectively and efficiently manage group sales opportunities as well as collecting invaluable marketing data.”
Following the recognition for this year’s accomplishments, Groupmatics is continuing to develop new APIs for their software with renewed understanding of industry problems. When asked what the future has in store for the company, Mastrangelo hinted at larger plans and simply said, “Let’s say we’re just getting started."
