Growth Acceleration Partners Earns Ranking on Austin Business Journal FAST 50 List for Second Consecutive Year
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- A year after making its impressive debut on the Austin Business Journal Fast 50, Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) turned in a ranking of No. 12 on the 2013 list of the city’s fastest-growing private companies with revenue under $10 million.
This latest honor comes just a month after GAP announced its inclusion on the coveted Inc. 5000, which ranked the company No. 855 among the fastest-growing private companies in the nation. During the last three years, GAP has achieved revenue growth of more than 500 percent while increasing its workforce from just 30 employees to 146. GAP demonstrated great staying-power and continued growth as one of the few companies to be ranked by the Austin Business Journal in both 2012 and 2013.
“GAP is now six years old, and our ability to tap into new opportunities for our clients grows stronger every day,” said Joyce Durst, co-founder of GAP. “As new technologies hit the marketplace, and companies need fast answers and faster application development, we’re right there to provide real, working software solutions that positively impact the bottom line.”
GAP is a unique outsourced software development company that combines leading technical skills with business acumen and strategy to create complete software solutions. These range from web applications to mobile apps and traditional client/server software. GAP has served more than 160 satisfied clients, delivering over 200 applications in services ranging from one-time projects to ongoing software development engagements.
A strong growth area for GAP has been staff augmentation, particularly for quality assurance projects (QA). For example, software development firm Zenoss, Inc., chose GAP to augments its in-house QA team. As a result, Zenoss was able to maintain its reputation for high-quality products while achieving a 66 percent cost savings compared to hiring additional in-house staff.
“I predict that GAP will continue to grow rapidly, as companies like Zenoss look for affordable and skilled engineers who can quickly step in to provide near-shore services,” said Mike Lunt, vice president of engineering for Zenoss. “I congratulate GAP on its recent awards recognizing the company’s strong growth. The honors are well-deserved.”
