Grumblies Launch Kickstarter Campaign to Bring Early Learners a Socially Interactive, Digital Toy
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- The design team behind Grumblies launched their Kickstarter campaign today and is looking to raise a total of $89,000 to help bring their product to life. Grumblies are fun-loving toys that use technology to teach children basic math and reading fundamentals, while introducing them to the digital world in a socially interactive way.
Grumblies are not only playful friends, but learning devices that teach children to interact with other children and their Grumblies, through the use of specific apps via iOS and Android devices. These mobile apps contain many different games that allow children to interact, play and learn while developing stronger logic and spatial reasoning skills. Grumblies gameplay apps provide hours of entertainment that also teach basic team building and strategy in a collaborative and fun way.
“When we started creating Grumblies, we wanted it to not only benefit children, but their parents and teachers as well,” said the team behind Grumblies. “We wanted to provide a fun, educational alternative to TV and video games that don’t necessarily teach social skills or have the same learning benefits that Grumblies do.”
Each Grumblie has an LCD screen that shows different emotions including the five primary emotions: scared, angry, mellow, happy and sad. Each emotion corresponds with different, specific faces and different colored lights via a “mood indicator” located on the front of each Grumblie. They also come with 20 “intermediate emotions” that display through the LCD screen. These emotions are meant to teach early learners how to handle different situations and react to each other’s feelings. Grumblies also have names that correspond with the different emotions including Grumblie, Growlie, Gigglie, Frownie and Fraidie.
Early backers can purchase Grumblies on Kickstarter for $24, which is significantly less than the market retail value.
