GSF Mortgage Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary
Brookfield, Wisconsin (PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- GSF Mortgage is excited to announce that the company is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this month. The company launched as a small mortgage brokerage in 1995 by a group of principals who had worked together in the finance industry since the 1970s. The founders include Jim Guzanick, Phil Siebert and Brian Fiskum—G-S-F.
“When we opened GSF, we opened in four states simultaneously, as a mortgage broker. What an enormous undertaking that was. Of course we had the numerous ups and downs of any start up. We also had a learning curve to get everyone through. But we all got through it together and within a few months we were expanding again. Thanks to all the hard work and dedication of those original "pioneers", GSF exists today,” says Siebert.
By 2002, GSF Mortgage employed more than 350 people and had 19 offices throughout Minnesota, Illinois and Maryland. The company was generating more than 1,500 mortgages per year. In a few short years, GSF had offices in 19 states and begun funding loans as a full-service direct mortgage lender.
Today, GSF Mortgage has a renewed dedication to customer education and new measures to improve transparency. GSF Mortgage combines state-of-the-art technology with old-fashioned customer service to streamline the lending process. Customer support and retention is at the core of the company’s business plan. Recently, GSF Mortgage became a Ginnie Mae Issuer, which allows the opportunity to serve its borrowers throughout the life of the loan.
