GSky Green Wall Brings Life to West Elm’s New Montreal Location

Versa Wall in their first Canadian West Elm location. West Elm opened the doors to their new location at 995 Rue Wellington, Montreal, Quebec on June 20. The company is known worldwide for their modern designs, artistic décor and inspirational home furnishings.
GSky has installed Green Walls in numerous West Elm locations, including the first in Seattle, followed by others including Los Angeles, Kuwait, and Lebanon. The Montreal store is the first Canadian West Elm that has incorporated a GSky living Wall. The Green Walls have become a fashionable fixture for West Elm. Installed in a number of their flagship stores, the walls have become a unique, distinctive entity that represents the West Elm brand and conveys their aim to be “green” and make a positive impact on the environment.

The Green Wall includes eight types of plants. The combination of vibrant shades of green and a hint of red create a kaleidoscope of color – a living, breathing piece of abstract art reminiscent of walking through a blooming forest in early summer. Bringing live elements into the store softens the space and brings life to the interior where customers can find comfort and relaxation while shopping. While the plants are interchangeable, this one was set up with 870 potted plants including: Philodendron Cordatum, Neon Pothos, Athyrium, Ficus Robusta, Schefflera ‘Luseanne’, Nephthytis, Maranta and Janet Craig Compactii.
Versa Wall is user-friendly, easy to install and maintain due to the flexibility of 4” industry standard pots that can be placed directly into the Versa Wall tray without any replanting, allowing the wall to remain in season year-round. In addition, Versa Wall is completely self-contained and 100% water efficient, erasing any fear of spills assuring a beautiful Green Wall that is neat and spotless.
