Adorned in 3,226 fresh potted plants, nature is brought from the outside in, creating a soft and warm environment where patrons and alike can find relaxation and comfort of a home. Debbie Kotalic, the Director of Horticultural Design at GSky Plant Systems, Inc. created the living, three-dimensional painting using plant species such as: Hahnii Snake Plant, Neon Pothos, Pixie Nephthytis, Dwarf Schefflera, Silver Goddess Peperomia, Pink Fittonia, and Burgundy Rubber Plant. The plant design is consists of flowing curvilinear lines rich in depth, texture and colors.
In addition to adding a wow-factor to the store, the Green Wall is designed to make shopping an enjoyable experience by bringing organic elements into an indoor environment. The lush greenery increases people’s exposure to living, breathing plants while re-establishing our connection to nature. Since the introduction of the first GSky Green Wall in West Elm Seattle, it has become a prominent feature and a branded element for the stores.
Versa Wall is user-friendly, easy to install and maintain due to the flexibility of 4” industry standard pots that can be placed directly into the Versa Wall Tray without any replanting, allowing the wall to remain in season year-round. In addition, Versa Wall is completely self-contained and 100% water efficient, erasing any fear of spills assuring a beautiful Green Wall that is neat and spotless.
GSky Plant Systems, Inc. brings nature indoors, a compliment to West Elm’s cozy home setting. The Green Wall is a fantastic display of living artwork that represents the West Elm brand’s commitment to green initiatives.
