James Blom said, “Matthew has directed product development and cyber-innovation initiatives for some of the United States most critical defense programs, which have direct applicability to the digital asset integrity challenges facing enterprise markets today. He brings to Guardtime a stunning set of development and delivery experiences, which span the ecosystems that Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI™) is affecting – including networking, storage, cloud, security, safety, and virtualization.
Matthew Johnson commented, “The industry is evolving with increased management abstraction, agility, scalability, and focus on trust and digital asset integrity. Guardtime is uniquely positioned to accelerate this evolution with core strengths in Cloud, Connected Vehicles, Big Data, Mobility, Defense, Internet of Things, and Trusted Computing and Storage. I will be looking closely at how KSI can integrate and communicate across disparate ecosystems to realize a new level of integrity instrumentation across the Internet. I am motivated by the revolutionary vision of the company and its leaders to fundamentally disrupt and shape these ecosystems.”
Johnson is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and a distinguished veteran of the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations, where he served as a Special Agent focusing on cyber security, cloud, weapons development, intelligence, and related-security operations. He also lead the innovation and incubation initiatives in data security, cyber-forensics, security information and event management, and active defense as a Director for CACI’s National Security Cyber Group; and most recently served as a Vice President of Strategy and Mission Assurance for Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) in Alexandria, VA.
Mike Gault, Guardtime CEO said, “Guardtime’s vision to build a global standard around KSI for Active Integrity of electronic data and Matthew’s leadership on a number of US National Laboratory and standards advisory groups will help us accelerate that vision.”
Kevin Robinson, MTSI President noted, “Having Matthew transition from us to the Guardtime USA CTO role is the right move at right time for our team. It enables us to accelerate the delivery of KSI solutions to key Defense and Intelligence Community customers and strengthens the strategic alliance between our companies.”
About Guardtime
Guardtime brings transparency and accountability to digital society. Founded in 2007, Guardtime invented Keyless Signature Infrastructure (KSI) - a technology that allows any type of electronic activity to be independently verified using only formal mathematical methods, without the need for trusted administrators. Deployed by world governments, KSI provides an independent audit trail for everything that happens in digital society, limiting liability and making it impossible for insiders or sophisticated cyber attackers to manipulate data and cover their tracks.
