St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- Throughout the month of June, Gundaker Construction and Restoration Group is celebrating two years in business and looking forward to future successes.
Mike Kossman, Managing Partner, along with Patrick Devers, Chief Operating Officer, decided to co-found the company in June 2013 after noticing the need for a top-tier roofing and storm restoration company that people could trust and rely on. The Gundaker name has been a trusted name in St. Louis and surrounding areas since 1968, and Devers and Kossman are committed to conducting business "The Gundaker Way,"--offering top tier customer service and building long term relationships with their clients.
"Throughout 2012 and 2013, we realized the storm restoration industry began to acquire a bad reputation as more and more unreliable contractors kept popping up in the St. Louis area," Kossman explains. "Contractors were taking people's deposits, and not doing the work, among other things. Homeowners are frequent victims of these unfortunate circumstances, and we really hated seeing that."
In response to this trend, Kossman and Devers set out to start a top-tier company rooted in honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical practices. The company was named Gundaker after Patrick’s Grandfather, Gordon Gundaker, founder of Gundaker Realtors (now Coldwell Banker Gundaker), and Chairman of Gundaker Commercial Group. “My grandfather was successful because he was honest, and went above and beyond for all his clients. No matter what, he always treated the customer right,” Devers said.
Over the last two years, Gundaker Construction and Restoration Group has made a name for itself throughout St. Louis, St. Louis county, St. Charles county, Franklin county, Jefferson County, and St. Francois county.
"The past two years have been nothing but great success for us," Kossman says. "We landed high net worth roofing jobs and ran many insurance claims for multi-million dollar homes. This year, we were awarded as a preferred vendor for a high net worth insurance company, which helps prove that we're a trustworthy company."
In its third year now, the professionals at Gundaker Construction and Restoration Group hope to branch into custom home building, as well as larger remodeling jobs and total rehabilitation work on both private residential homes and commercial properties. They also hope to expand do more work in the Lake of the Ozarks region.
Devers says the company currently has its hands full, with new jobs being scheduled through the end of the year and into 2016. Most of the calls the company receives come from referrals -- something every company strives to acquire from previous customers.
