Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts MRI and Ultrasound Technology Programs Receive Recognition from ARRT
San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2014 -- Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is proud to announce that our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program in San Mateo and Modesto campuses as well as the Ultrasound Technology program in San Mateo have just recently received recognition from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Both programs can now be found on ARRT website in the recognized educational programs section: http://www.arrt.org/Education/Educational-Programs
ARRT recognition would allow Gurnick's future graduates of MRI and Ultrasound Technology programs to be eligible to sit for ARRT (MR) and ARRT (S) exams upon graduation.
It's important to note that effective January 1, 2015, all applicants applying for ARRT certification must have earned an associate degree from an accredited institution prior to applying for the certification in addition to graduation from an ARRT recognized program.
The recognition of these programs became possible due to ARRT's recognition of ABHES as an institutional accrediting agency in Professional Education category.
"We are very pleased to have our imaging programs be recognized by ARRT. This would allow our MRI and Ultrasound Technology students more certification options and will make them more employable upon obtaining those certifications," said Gurnick's Chief Academic Officer, Larisa Revzina.
