GXT Green Is Now Accepting Nominations for the 2014 Earth Day Honor Roll
Billerica, MA (PRWEB) March 13, 2014 -- Earth Day is on April 22nd, 2014. Every year, in celebration of Earth Day, GXT Green recognizes organizations that have made significant contributions to sustainability efforts in their individual companies, their communities or to the global community.
Nominations are now being accepted for the Fourth Annual GXT Green Honor Roll. Recognition will be considered for organizations that have demonstrated the most significant achievements in preserving and protecting our environment. Finalists will be chosen based on leadership, innovation and creativity, promotion of environmental stewardship and how effective they have been in implementing these endeavors. Nominations may be companies, worldwide town, county, and state government and public agencies, environmental organizations, as well as individual leaders such as CEOs, sustainability officers, mayors, senators, ministers, or civic leaders. As an added thank you, GXT Green will offset the carbon footprint for the vehicle of all people who submit a valid nomination with a GXT Green Wheel Seal Medallion. Validity of nominations will be at the sole discretion of GXT Green.

"Companies and governments around the world are making major strides to take serious steps to eliminate litter and waste, as well as reducing their carbon footprint and impact on our environment." For the first year, GXT Green is expanding nominations beyond the US borders to recognize achievements in sustainability around the world.
Honorees in the past have included retailers, such as Price Chopper, and Roche Brothers, individuals such as Rob Garrity, Executive Director, Mass Climate Action Network, government leaders such as Jamie Eldridge, Massachusetts State Senator, and Jen Jordan, Recycling Coordinator, City of Iowa City, and car dealerships such as Expressway Toyota.
