H.J. Walter’s new novel follows naval aviator on secretive CIA mission
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (PRWEB) February 17, 2015 -- John Walker, a naval aviator, has just been recruited by the CIA for intelligence gathering in the Philippines while still a member of the Navy. What he believes to be a routine surveillance mission quickly takes a turn for the worse, landing him in enemy territory and on the defensive.
Author and retired naval aviator H.J. “Walt” Walter draws from personal experience to breathe life into his new novel “The Tinder Box” (published by Trafford Publishing), which follows John as he struggles to avoid captivity while fulfilling his obligations to the United States government.
John’s mission begins innocuously enough, with the landing of his DC-3 plane on a beach off the island of Luzon in the Philippines. Following his information gathering from the Hukbalahuks, he journeys to Laos, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Taiwan in pursuit of further information. Things quickly escalate when he finds himself downed in Indonesia and trapped by a mob at the airport.
“The Tinder Box” follows John’s globetrotting adventure as he searches for the truth amidst a world of conspiracy, danger and lies.
