Haag-Streit introduce the Octopus 600 with new macula programmes
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 2 May 2014 -- Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to introduce the Octopus 600 with new macula programmes.
Haag-Streit UK has recently updated the Octopus 600 with the two most commonly used macula programmes; the physiology-based M-programme, unique to the Octopus product family and the 10-2. The advantage of the M-programme is that it can carry out a very high density of test points in the central three degrees, which are most important for good vision.
The Octopus 600 combines standard white-on-white perimetry with the new, patented Pulsar flicker stimulus method. This provides simplified early glaucoma detection and long term follow-up in a single instrument.
