Haag-Streit UK announces the new Eyestar 900 OCT analyser
HARLOW, UK (PRWEB UK) 22 December 2017 -- Previewed at October’s ESCRS in Lisbon, the Eyestar 900 is a new Swept Source-based OCT device for refractive, cataract and glaucoma surgeons. Precise OCT measurements deliver elevation-based topography maps of the front and back corneal surface. Additionally, users can choose from either two or three dimensional images of the anterior segment, including the crystalline lens. The Eyestar 900 is also modular, allowing biometry of the entire eye from the cornea to the retina.
The fully-automated data acquisition process of the Eyestar 900 greatly improves the precision of results, leading to greater efficiency and superb usability: both eyes are examined without user intervention and a short acquisition time ensures patients are comfortable and cooperative.
The Eyestar 900 is powered by EyeSuite, Haag-Streit’s intuitive software tool that enables seamless integration of the device into any practice environment. It also includes the cutting edge IOL cataract planning software that uses the latest-generation IOL calculation methods such as; Hill-RBF, Barrett and Olsen.
