Hack Reactor’s New Extension Program Helps Software Engineers and Educators Open Their Own Coding School
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 29, 2014 -- Hack Reactor, the immersive JavaScript-focused coding academy, announced today it will offer the Hack Reactor Extension Program, allowing expert Software Engineers and educators to launch their own school using Hack Reactor’s world-class curriculum and method. The first phase of the application process is now open. The selection process will be competitive. Final applicants that are chosen will be able to start a Hack Reactor Extension School and will begin a remarkable and rewarding journey in education. Hack Reactor will facilitate the new coding school with their curriculum, admissions, job search support, staffing network and expertise, organizational management, lecturer training programs, marketing, software, legal, and other assistance.
“Building a coding school from scratch can take months or years, with many iterative rounds of curriculum refinement, the results of which can vary widely,” said Shawn Drost, Hack Reactor Co-Founder. “Hack Reactor Extension allows leaders to hit the ground running and utilize the most successful, outcomes-oriented coding school curriculum currently in existence to build their very own coding school.”
This year, Hack Reactor will educate more Software Engineers than Caltech, Stanford University and UC Berkeley put together. The employment rate of graduates from their three-month program is 99% with an average salary of $105,000. Hack Reactor has developed internal systems and processes to operate at scale. At the San Francisco school, they run four classes in parallel at any given time, an expansion that required additional infrastructure for program delivery, enabling the possibility of expanding to other cities with no drop-off in quality.
