Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 28, 2014 -- Haitian Kids of Tomorrow, inc. (HKOT) has launched its first campaign to help combat illiteracy in Haiti. This campaign will consist of raising funds to send kids to school in Haiti, provide books and uniform to the kids. Raise awareness about the education of the kids in Haiti.
Haitian Kids of Tomorrow, inc. (HKOT) is a non-profit organization that will help combat illiteracy in Haiti and give kids greater access to education.
In Haiti, the school year begins in October, and lots of parents are struggling to find a way to send their kids back to school, as there is not enough public schools for everybody, and small private schools are fairly expensive for a country making a minimum wage of two dollars a day. Parents who can't send their kids to public schools because of lack of available spots, or can't afford private schools because they are too expensive, are forced to keep their kids at home, hence the kids are growing without the ability to read and write, which sadly increase the illiteracy rate of the youth in this poor country.
Haitian Kids of Tomorrow, inc. has a mission to help the Haitian kids know how to read and write, have access to computers and technology. Through education, these young kids will have a greater chance to compete and be successful in this modern world.
Kids are the future of a country, and Haiti is in need of the kids to help it progress and be part of the advanced world.
