Halfway There Florida Announces the Opening of Intensive Outpatient Program in Delray Beach
Delray Beach, FL (PRWEB) July 27, 2013 -- For more than ten years, Halfway There Florida has been a leading halfway house in Delray Beach, offering a multi-faceted approach to treating addictions in both men and women. This facility is proud to announce that they now offer group Intensive Outpatient therapy through Real Life Recovery in addition to their halfway house programs in Delray Beach.
Outpatient therapy is conducted in a group setting, yet Real Life Recovery does not use a “cookie cutter” approach to treatment. Before enrolling in group sessions, counselors at the facility will meet with the patient in order to determine what his or her individual needs are. After conducting a one-on-one session, a treatment plan tailored especially for that individual will be developed.
Group therapy sessions will cover a variety of topics including building a foundation, addiction and recovery education, accountability, relapse prevention and personal spirituality. Participants can also receive assistance with obtaining social services, learning intervention techniques and job seeking.
The fact that this outpatient program covers such a wide array of topics increases its likelihood of success. Counselors are able to help patients with a variety of issues that could hinder them from recovery or make it more likely for them to have a relapse once they have completed their treatment. The fact that individuals in the program can connect with other recovering addicts helps them know that they are not alone in their struggles, which can be an enormous source of comfort during this stressful time.
In addition to covering different topics, groups are also segregated according to their individual needs. Those in the early stages of recovery are placed in one group, while those who need relapse prevention are placed in another. There are also groups especially for people who need emotional healing, life skills, or help dealing with community issues.
The fact that outpatient counseling in Delray Beach can be tailored to each individual increases the possibility of long-term success. Carrie Douglas stated that: “We are proud to be able to accommodate each client’s individual needs so that he or she knows we value them as a person. Building self-esteem is a key component of recovery, and our program helps each one affirm their own self worth.”
