Hammes develops new lakefront Chicago medical office destination
BROOKFIELD, Wis., and CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 18, 2015 -- After a successful health system merger and subsequent rebranding in 2013, Chicago-based Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, part of Presence Health, has commenced operation in a new patient-centered outpatient facility in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The Presence Center for Advanced Care celebrated its grand opening last month with a ribbon cutting and blessing from Chicago Archbishop Blase J. Cupich. Also involved was 44th Ward Alderman Tom Tunney, as was hospital leadership in the 10-story outpatient facility.
The lakefront medical facility has been developed and leased by leading healthcare consulting firm, Hammes Company, and is located on the hospital campus at the intersection of Surf Street and Sheridan Road.

The building opened in September with a robust mix of services, including advanced diagnostics capabilities, ambulatory surgery, a full endoscopy center, laboratory services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, along with specialty services such bariatrics, orthopedics and comprehensive oncology services through the Mark M. Connolly Center for Cancer and Specialty Care. There is an advanced imaging center dedicated solely to women’s services, providing low-dose 3D mammography, PET-CT and digital X-ray to patients. The facility houses three floors of physician office suites as well as three levels of indoor parking, and connects directly to the hospital via a glass sky bridge at 2900 N. Lake Shore Drive.
Hammes Partners, a healthcare real estate private equity firm affiliated with Hammes Company, provided development capital for the project and retains ownership of the facility.
