Handmark Founder Sails to Success in Kansas City
Kansas City, Mo. (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- August "Augie" Grasis, founder and chairman of mobile applications developer Handmark, is featured in a new Kansas City Area Development Council campaign touting Kansas City's lifestyle assets. Grasis, a savvy entrepreneur whose ideas helped redefine the mobile content industry, built his business in Kansas City.
"Kansas City is a surprising city," says Grasis. "When I started in technology, there certainly in my mind wasn't a clear reason to go anywhere else. There is plenty of talent available."
"I can leave work and be on my sailboat probably in 30 minutes ... or dive in for a quick swim before dinner," continues Grasis.
The video was created as part of the America's Creative Crossroads campaign, designed by the Kansas City Area Development Council to create awareness of the metro’s assets for talented professionals and growing businesses from around the world.
Other partners include digital storyteller Matt Blume of Hint, photographer Cameron Gee, the Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association, ArtsKC Regional Arts Council and the Arts Council of Johnson County. For more details, visit kccreativecrossroads.com.
