Hanley Wood Announces Winners of 2016 Multifamily Executive Awards
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) September 21, 2016 -- Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event, and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, commercial design, and construction industries, is pleased to announce the winners of its 2016 Multifamily Executive Awards. Two executives and 29 project winners were honored at a special event held during the 2016 Multifamily Executive Conference, which took place September 19-21 in Las Vegas.
Each year, Multifamily Executive honors the industry’s best and brightest with its prestigious MFE Awards competition. Winning projects, leaders, and initiatives are featured in the September and October issues of MFE and at http://www.multifamilyexecutive.com.
Bob Faith, CEO of Greystar in Charleston, S.C., was honored as the 2016 MFE Executive of the Year. Faith has piloted Greystar to the No. 1 spot on the NMHC’s Top 50 Managers list for the past five years, with a current management portfolio of 413,000 units. His attention to the granular details of the business has made Greystar a top owner and developer, as well.
“Bob Faith’s visionary leadership has made Greystar a dominant force in the apartment market and an obvious choice as Executive of the Year,” said Les Shaver, editor of Multifamily Executive. “Faith led the company through the integration of its largest competitor and an expansion into Europe and Latin America and has been at the forefront of the data revolution in the industry.”
Khushbu Sikaria, vice president of advisory services for Greenbelt, Md.–based Bozzuto, was honored as the 2016 MFE Rising Star. In her five years in the multifamily industry, she has worked her way up from social media coordinator. That fast rise can be attributed to Sikaria’s interest in all facets of the industry. Her ability to identify trends in other industries and seamlessly apply them to Bozzuto’s strategy has caught the attention of the company’s upper management, which earned her an expanded role and added responsibility. Sikaria’s vast background in law, business, and creative digital marketing has prepared her to take on any challenges she faces in the future.
The 2016 MFE Editors’ Choice Award was presented to Wood Partners for its Block 17 development in Portland, Ore. Wood Partners and Bora Architects created a full city-block development that blended a quintessential Portland design with a modern luxury essence. The project features sustainable building assets where possible and materials that were made with recyclable items and sourced locally. The overall design creates a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor areas and makes Block 17 a part of the natural habitat surrounding it.
