Hannah's Helping Hands, Nonprofit Arm of Hannah the Pet Society, Hires Jade Steel as New Executive Director
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) September 22, 2016 -- Hannah’s Helping Hands, the charitable arm of Hannah the Pet Society, has hired Jade Steel as its new Executive Director.
Steel brings a wealth of experience in the animal shelter and rescue community to her new role. Most recently, she worked as the executive director of the Foundation for Animal Care and Education, a San Diego based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance for Pet owners who are unable to afford the cost of life-saving emergency veterinary care.
“One of the many things I love about Hannah is that our unique model prevents families from even getting into the position of being unable to afford emergency veterinary care for their beloved Pets,” Steel said. “Not only that, but Hannah members also receive unlimited routine care, in addition to emergency care, so they receive the best possible health care for the entire life of their Pets.”
As the new Hannah’s Helping Hands Executive Director, Steel will oversee partnerships with community organizations, and fundraising and growth of Hannah’s charitable programs. Hannah's Helping Hands is dedicated to helping under-served and marginalized individuals in our community experience a lifetime of love with a Pet. Through their programs they provide Pets at no charge to school classrooms, senior centers, group homes for those with special needs and disabled veterans and military families; this includes providing free medical care, supplies and food for the life of the Pet. Steel is fond of saying, “The only ingredient needed is love!”
Steel has a degree in environmental studies from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In addition to previously working for the FACE foundation in San Diego, she has worked for a humane society in California and another Pet foundation in the Las Vegas area.
Hannah’s Helping Hands works with Hannah the Pet Society to offer its programs.
