Harman® Celebrates 35 Years of Success by Giving Back

Halifax, PA (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 -- In celebration of 35 successful years in business and in recognition of its American-made products, Harman has awarded three of its popular P43 pellet stoves to deserving U.S. military families.

After announcing a giveaway to provide free pellet stoves for military personnel in August 2014, the brand received more than 75 entries from former and active military personnel and their families and friends. Harman P43 pellet stoves were ultimately awarded to three winners, selected for their dedicated service and inspirational character.

The winners include:

  • Michael Dawson: A member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard for more than 14 years, Michael and his wife had been saving to buy a pellet stove for their basement as part of a partial remodel when he was selected by Harman to receive a free P43 pellet stove. Winning the giveaway allowed the Dawsons to finish their basement completely and create a warm and comfortable space to spend time together as a family.
  • Laura Rusnak: A retired police officer and U.S. Army Reserves and Air National Guard veteran from New York, Laura was so honored when she was selected that she followed suit and opted to “pay it forward” with a generous donation to 9-1-1 Veterans, an organization that provides support to military veterans.
  • Paul Brennan: A corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps., Paul was forced into early medical retirement due to a rare blood condition. Receiving a Harman P43 allowed him to spend valuable time with his family and alleviated concerns about the cost of heating their home during the chilly winter months.

The giveaway comes on the heels of the brand’s 35th anniversary, which was also marked with the declaration of August 14 as “Harman Celebrates 35 Years of Business Excellence Day” by the Commissioner’s Office of Dauphin County.
