Harth Builders Named Local Contractor of the Year by NARI
Spring House, PA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Fresh from winning two Best of Houzz Awards for Design and Service, Harth Builders was honored with awards from the local chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) including a Contractor of the Year (CotY) Award in the Residential Interior over $150,000 category, and a Meritorious Award for their entry in the Residential Addition under $100,000.
Winners of the local awards were announced at the Bucks-Mont NARI chapter’s Evening of Excellence awards gala at the William Penn Inn in Gwynedd, PA on Friday, January 30th. The winners were selected in a blind judging process by a panel of industry experts from outside their market area. Harth Builders has received numerous NARI CotY Awards in the past at the local, regional, and national levels.
The 2015 CotY Award winning project was an interior renovation for a family that was transitioning into a larger home. The house was situated on a beautiful lot, in an ideal location, but was in a state of disrepair. A true fixer-upper, this 1940s era home required numerous fixes before the family could reside there safely. Without changing the footprint of the home, Harth Builders was able to correct numerous structural issues, and remodel the interior to transform their dilapidated first-floor into a bright and welcoming open-concept family room and kitchen. Plans are already in place to assist the family with renovations to the second floor.
This year’s Meritorious Award winning project was a small addition that made a huge difference in a dysfunctional kitchen. Prior to renovating, the home was too cramped for the busy family. The existing kitchen also lacked sufficient lighting and storage space for all of the kitchenware and pantry items. By adding a 4-square-foot addition to open up the space, Harth Builders was able to reconfigure the kitchen to improve traffic flow, add lighting, dramatically increase storage space, and make the overall kitchen much more pleasing aesthetically.
