Haven School District Launches Marketing Campaign to Support Mt. Hope Elementary
Haven, KS (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- In an effort to increase enrollment for the new Mt. Hope Elemtary School, Haven USD 312 is embarking on a summer-long marketing campaign that highlights the benefits of the school’s non-traditional approach to learning. Though the school itself is not new, the “Project-Based Learning” teaching style is. The marketing campaign will be centered on directing parents to the website, HopeStyleLearning.com, where they can learn more about this non-traditional public school and the innovative teaching style.
Project-Based Learning is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to a complex question, problem or challenge.
“You’re learning the same things,” said Haven School District Superintendent, Rick White. “You’re still learning math, science, language arts, reading — all of those things you would learn in a regular school. It’s just done differently, because you are constantly working on a project where you might be learning math, science and maybe social studies all at the same time — which is more like what you would encounter in the real world.”
To lead the marketing efforts, the school district looked to Armstrong Chamberlin Strategic Marketing to develop a campaign that involves the use of direct mail, Internet ads, YouTube videos and digital outdoor boards. Each component of the campaign works to support the theme of Hope-Style Learning and directs interested parties to the website HopeStyleLearning.com.
