Hawaii Flower Lei Presents Lei to Super Bowl Star Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks
Honolulu, HI (PRWEB) February 02, 2014 -- Hawaii Flower Lei donated and presented fresh flower leis to celebrity athletes and attendees of the St. Jude Charity Pro Bowl Dinner held at Morton’s Steak House in Ala Moana Center last week. An extra long, maile-style ti leaf lei wrapped with fresh orchids was presented to Russell Wilson who made a special appearance in support of St. Jude.
“The lei was made especially for him with Hawaiian ti leaves, often given for good luck here in the islands," said Emily Steele, owner of Hawaii Flower Lei. "Russell Wilson is a kind and generous person and it was wonderful to share our aloha with him as well as support St. Jude and the families they serve."
This is the second year Hawaii Flower Lei has made a sizable donation to St. Jude Charity Pro Bowl Dinner, organized by Sports 1 Marketing and Hall of Fame Quarterback Warren Moon. Hawaii Flower Lei donated and presented freshly made Hawaiian Leis to all attendees as they arrived, including some specialty leis for celebrities and athletes. Hall of Famers Warren Moon and Willie Brown and local Hawaii celebrity Taylor Wily (Teila Tuli) who plays Kamekona on the CBS show Hawaii Five-0, were among the celebs at the event.
“It was a powerful experience to be in a room alongside Super Bowl star Russell Wilson and so many other amazing athletes, celebrities, and community members like us who simply wanted to give from their hearts. Events like this bring us together and remind us what’s really important.”
