Hawthorne Cat to Host California Air Resources Board Training Course
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 05, 2017 -- Hawthorne Cat, the exclusive Cat® equipment dealer in San Diego, the Hawaiian Islands and the Pacific Region, will host a training course sponsored by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The free course will take place on Wednesday, September 27 at the Hawthorne Cat Corporate Training Center located at 16945 Camino San Bernardo, San Diego, CA from 8:30 am – 11:30 am.
The California Air Resources Board has a regulation for In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets to reduce emissions from existing off-road diesel vehicles used in California in construction, mining, and other industries. It requires fleet owners to report to CARB and label off-road vehicles and reduce emissions from older equipment. This unique training opportunity through Hawthorne Cat will help fleet owners understand and comply with the new regulations.
Course topics will include the applicability of the Off-Road regulation, requirements in effect, future compliance deadlines, fleet emission requirements, an overview of the Diesel Off-Road Online Reporting System (DOORS) and small fleets (under 2500 hp).
According to Emissions Specialist Jeff Wood, “Take advantage of this opportunity and stay on top of important regulations on your fleet and your business.” Wood continues, “CARB staff will also be available after the training to answer any additional questions you may have.”
